Re: Freeze when hitting the play/ pause / stop button

I recorded some mp3 files with this audio recorder Why not record in Audacity? The recorder offers me just a few formats, I have chosen the .mp3 (cd quality, lossy 44khz) option. As you are intending to edit the file in Audacity, it would be better to make the original recording in WAV format (44.1...

Re: Why Do I Get 4 Tracks When I Import A Stereo Wav File?

When I did this with the first file, I noticed that I ended up with four separate files labeled right channel, left channel, mono and mono. One of the mono channel wave patterns appears nearly identical to either the right or left channel(?) in signature and amplitude. It would appear that the file...

Re: Can I Mark audio while recording?

For the benefit of future forum users that may be looking for the correct way to do this: To create a label at the cursor position during recording or playba...

Re: Managing phono recordings

There are such broad differences between how one application handles metadata and another, that the most reliable way to add metadata that will be read correctly by a parti...

Re: Can I Mark audio while recording?

I am using the label to mark the entire track but these are one hour long. Having to play the entire program again just to find the segment is tedious. It would be nice to be able to mark the segment. Would this not be useful for other applications? Please see my previous reply. The steps I gave do...

Re: Click & pop hunting tips needed

p,s Is there a shortcut or facility to automatically flatten out a waveform line between two points or induce a curve instead of a spike? If that is for repairing small clicks, then there is the "Repair Tool" http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/repair.html p.p.s Why does the zoom have to...
