Re: NoiseRemoval.cpp
7) If you change the attack/decay from the default of 0.15, you can't set it back to that value again exactly. I don't see that here. I can either type in 0.15, or use the left right cursor keys to move the slider to 0.15. The setting is correctly saved in audacity.cfg as: NoiseAttackDecayTime=0.15

Re: Placing Audacity Files on Gdrive for another user
I think you only need to select "File > Close", but given that it is the final step before zipping up and posting, you may as well shut down the application (which is what I generally do when I have finished working with Audacity).

Re: Soundflower Install
I find this Not Our Problem attitude profoundly unhelpful and not useful Did you go to the link? First up on their home page: Learn how to install Soundflower | Learn how to uninstall Soundflower On the other hand: "How do I use / install / uninstall / I have a problem with ... Pamela / Fraps ...

Re: Remove loud fuzziness at upper range of audio recording
I thought that perhaps the darker blue was the distortion. The dark (outer) blue colour shows the outline of the waveform, following the peaks of audio signal. Try zooming in and out to see how it looks at different zoom levels ("Ctrl+Mouse Wheel" is a quick way to zoom, or see here for o...

Re: Audacity Voice Analysing
Is there anyway I can obtain/fill in the informations above with the help of audacity to achieve the desired voice effect? I'm going with "no". I'd think the best bet is to play with the effect and try to find settings that sound similar. Start with the "major" settings, leaving...

Ah yes, I forgot to write that step.Gale Andrews wrote:It's also best to close the project after save it. Otherwise "orphan" block files" will be in your recipient's project
I've added it to my previous post.
It's not necessary to close after the other "Save" / "Save As" steps.

Re: Audacity 2.0.5 on Ubuntu 14.04 w/KDE crashing
Do you know what is an optimum value, zero? ie the lowest latency possible I assume. Zero is a problem on my machine, sometimes causing Audacity to crash. "1" works OK here for playing projects that contain only one track, but for multi-track projects Audacity may freeze on starting playb...

Similar to you I think. 1) Regularly "Save Project As..." and give it a name in the form "name-of-project001", "name-of-project002", "name-of-project003", ... Save alternative versions as "name-of-project-023", "name-of-project-023b", "...

Re: Compression Gain Reduction
I'm currently editing and cleaning up some live radio programs. Is that, programs on the radio that you are recording, or live shows that you are recording to go on a radio station? If you can give a clear picture of what you are doing, we may be able to offer some suggestions / tips / tricks to he...
