I'm sure there is, and no doubt much simpler than you have been trying ;) but first, I'm not totally clear what the aim is: I Want to Cut important segments from many tracks and make that track ONE at the end Do you mean that you want to select parts from multiple audi...

Re: Easiest way to reassemble wav files after export?
I'll move this to the "feature request" board, as it relates to a proposed feature that may be of interest to you. When exporting from Audacity, any "white-space" before the start of a track is ignored. Is my use of the term "white-space" clear? (we will need to call it...

Re: can hear MIDI but can't record it (reprise)
As I suspected, that's not actually "distortion" in the normal sense - it's not due to overloading, in fact the recording levels are now a bit low (the screen shot is after amplifying the track). The problem is that there are "gaps" in the recording, which are clearly visible if ...

Re: My grandmother passed - need help with song
Posting your e-mail address on a public forum is likely to attract a lot of spam, and we don't provide e-mail support, so I removed your e-mail address. Try using the Noise Removal effect to reduce the amount of tape hiss. Hopefully you have a WAV file of the recording - working with MP3 is not reco...

Re: Unable to set Bass And Treble
Most commands are unavailable during recording, playback or pause.
Click the Stop button to ensure that playback is stopped and not just paused.

Re: can hear MIDI but can't record it (reprise)

Re: can hear MIDI but can't record it (reprise)
Well your commands all look OK.
Try opening pavucontrol while Audacity is recording the MIDI file and try adjusting the Playback level of FluidSynth and/or the recording level in Audacity.

Re: Splitting Stereo, Editing each side in Mono = PROBLEM!
If exactly the same sound comes out of both left and right speakers, then that is "mono". If different sound comes out of the left from what comes out of the right, that is "stereo". What is it that you want?
