Re: outil de glissement audacity 2.0.5
Sorry, I don't speak French. You have probably enabled "Sync Lock". "Tracks menu > Sync Lock Track" should be disabled. http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/sync_locked_track_groups.html Google Translate: Désolé, je ne parle pas français. Vous avez probablement activé "Verro...

Re: Initial Setup
Split to new topic as this does not appear to be about recording from a USB turntable. The current version of Audacity is 2.0.5. You can download it here: http://audacityteam.org/download/ Install the new version over the top of your old version and during the set-up select the "Reset Preferenc...

Re: Splitting Stereo, Editing each side in Mono = PROBLEM!
Ok - so if I want to edit/manipulate both tracks individually, best thing would be to duplicate each side of track after splitting stereo and converting to mono, then apply the stereo effect to each? I would suggest: 1) Split the original track to two mono tracks. 2) Leave the "main speaker&qu...

Re: Audacity auto-enabling Optical Raw on startup
If I go into Alsamixer and unmute (i.e enable) the Optical Raw channel, it turns off all sound. Mute it again, and sound is heard. By default, this switch is muted/turned off so all is well normally. That sounds a bit weird. I doubt that is supposed to happen. I'd guess that is a minor bug in the A...

Re: LAME will not install on my Mac (2.2 GHz Intel Core i7
So I allowed the download by changing the security, but it still won't download! I downloaded directly LAME from the correct site (http://lame.buanzo.org - was very careful) but no go! Does that mean that you have downloaded Lame_Library_v3.98.2_for_Audacity_on_OSX.dmg, or that you haven't download...

Re: LAME will not install on my Mac (2.2 GHz Intel Core i7
I don't use Mac (or Windows) but I'm guessing it could just be the web browser - if you had a failed download attempt, you may need to clear the browser cache before you can download it properly.

Re: Initial Setup
My sound settings are MME, Headset Earphone, Headset Microphone and 2 (Stereo) Input. You need to set the recording input to the USB option. If there is no USB option for the recording input, open the "Transport" menu and click on "Rescan Audio Devices". If you ensure that the U...

Re: Splitting Stereo, Editing each side in Mono = PROBLEM!
Plug-ins appear "below the divider" in the Effect menu. You might not have scrolled down the menu far enough. Also, did you extract the file "pseudostereo.ny" from the "Pseudostereo.zip" package? If it is definitely not there, check to see if "Click Track" is ...
