Re: Fixing Tunnel Effect
An "AUP" file is not an audio file. It only contains instructions to tell Audacity how to reconstruct the Audacity project from the audio data that is on your computer. It does not contain any audio data. See here for more information (important concept when working with Audacity) http://m...

Re: How To Remove Skips
I wish I could put zero in the max duration field but that is not allowed Audacity 2.0.6 is due to be released soon, and in that version you will be able to truncate silences to zero. I tried a min duration of 80 ms and max duration of 1 ms and the effect still removed none of the silences througho...

Re: How to add label List to project?
It's still in SVN (in "/lib-src").Edgar wrote:There have been some experimental attempts at this in the past; one of those (no longer included in the mainstream Audacity source code) is mod-script-pipe (It was removed sometime after SVN revision 11364).

Re: smooth transition between equalizers
As waxcylinder wrote, "crossfading" is the solution:
Often, a very short crossfade will be sufficient (just a few milliseconds), but if the equalization difference is very great then you may need a more gradual transition (longer crossfade).

Re: looping click???
There are several possibilities: 1) Change in frequency content: In this example, there is a sudden change to a higher frequency. Notice the kink in the waveform at the join - that will produce a slight click. To avoid clicks you need a smooth transition. firsttrack001.png 2) Change in amplitude: In...

Re: Splitting Stereo, Editing each side in Mono = PROBLEM!
what settings do you recommend on pseudo stereo? Experiment for best results, but as a starting point I'd guess something like: Delay = 40 Mix = 100 That will make the audience track (on its own) sound a little weird (too much stereo effect) but then you adjust the gain slider to determine how much...

Re: Audacity auto-enabling Optical Raw on startup
I thought Audacity wasn't the only culprit, but when I came to think about it, I couldn't find anything other program that actually messes with optical raw. I found a case on line where the problem was reported to occur whenever they turned on their wifi connection ! There appear to be quite a lot ...
