Re: Audio Track is almost flat
First thing to do is to check your set-up.
If you are on Vista or later, I'd recommend using the WASAPI method described here: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/tu ... ndows.html

Re: Audio quality drops during recording
I plug the jack into the microphone port of my laptop That is probably the problem. The output signal from a mixer is MASSIVELY bigger than a microphone signal, so there is a very bad mismatch between the signal that you are sending from the mixer and the microphone input. Although this will someti...

Re: Fixing Tunnel Effect
Probably not able to make much improvement to that - it's pretty bad quality.
It sounds like the recording has already had substantial processing done to it. If so, could you post a short sample of the original unprocessed recording. I can't promise much improvement but happy to take a look.

Re: Vista / No Stereo / Mono only / EasyCAP
As I understand it, trickywoo was wanting to record in stereo. Oops, I meant check that it isn't set to mono (check that it is set to stereo) in the Windows Sound Control Panel . I've corrected my previous post. I think Steve was suggesting right-click over the speaker icon by the system clock, the...

Re: view -> history ... incomplete display?
1. If I save a project "snapshot" isn't its history lost anyway when I open that snapshot? Yes, it's just a "snapshot". In any case, shouldn't the viewable history include the track number(s) and the time-selection? That would be a feature request, so I'll move this to the "...

Re: view -> history ... incomplete display?
The ability to Undo is not maintained after closing a project. Doing so would require that temporary audio data (potentially vast amounts) are saved indefinitely in the project folder, thus making Audacity projects (which are already pretty large) much bigger. Audacity has "unlimited" Undo...

Re: ASIO Multi Client Wrapper
What exactly is the Multi Client Wrapper - a software application? It's a hack by Steinberg that may (if it works) allow multiple applications to access the same ASIO device at the same time (otherwise multi-client support requires hardware mixing to be available in the sound card / audio device, w...
