No problem, use the hub with your mouse, keyboard, printer, scanner, lava-lamp, chess game, photoframe, ... just not with your audio interface which requires reliable real-time data streaming.rj7500 wrote: If one is using many peripherals the port is unfortunately a must have.

Re: Odd request for a pro noise reductionist.
You need the services of an audio forensics expert.
If this matter involves suspected criminal activity, you may be best to contact the police, but be aware that recording someone without their knowledge or consent is itself an offence in many countries.

Re: retrieving music files
Audacity saves "projects", not ordinary audio files.
To create an ordinary audio file you must "Export".

Re: Creating a cassette converter plug-in
So what you're saying here is while there are noise removal effects, there aren't any for tape noise reduction specifically? Not specifically, though yes, other noise removal effects will usually work to a greater or lesser extent. Would it be possible for me to just use an existing noise removal p...

Re: Creating a cassette converter plug-in
isn't there anyway for this to be possible without an audio interface? There has to be some sort of interface, even if it the mic socket on the side of your laptop. What waxcylinder is saying is that the mic socket on the side of many laptops are designed only for computer microphones (expecting a ...

Re: Recording from Digital Piano vis USB to Hst
Using a Yamaha P105 digital piano connecting via USB to Host Cable The USB cable is probably only a MIDI connection, not audio. "MIDI" is not "audio". Audacity records audio, not MIDI. See this FAQ for more information: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/faq_recording_troubles...
