Two reasons are that neither iTunes or Windows Media Player support OGG (without installing extra codecs or add-ons). Why not just use a player that supports tags in WAV files? (for example Foobar2000 http://www.foobar2000.org/ )

Most commands are disabled during record, play or pause.
Press the Stop button to stop playback.
