Probably some version of Audition of Izotope. I don't recall which, but both have a feature like that.Paul L wrote:What is the other popular application in Steve's last posting there?

Re: Always loop?
If you want to vote for a Preference or control that the play mode (looped or not) does not change when clicking or dragging again in the Timeline (so that if you were loop playing already, SHIFT would not be required to loop play the new Play Region but SHIFT would play it once), please say so. Re: POST YOUR BAND'S SONG HERE (Audacity recorded or edited)
Yes, Audacity can, and so can most good audio players, but notably not Microsoft's "Windows Media Player" or Apple's "iTunes" (perhaps they have some vested interest in not supporting open formatsTrebor wrote:[ I thought Audacity can natively open FLAC without having to add FFmpeg ].

Re: Easiest way to reassemble wav files after export?
I thought there was already a FR for "export from start of time-line" (perhaps different wording), though I don't see it on http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Feature_Requests
It certainly should be on there because it's a feature that I requested shortly after that behaviour was scrapped.

Re: Audacity group on Soundcloud
hey--think you guys have a block of sorts keeping songs from posting there--does not go through. Hi Black Dog, As you're aware, the group is very new, so we're still sorting it out and learning the (many) quirks and limitations of the SoundCloud interface as we go, so please be patient with us ;) R...

Good guess, and very close. It is indeed to do with access permissions, just a little more complicated.flynwill wrote: Is it possible the thin boxes you describe are only show to list admins?

Re: Forums with new posts
it does seem that a normal "Registered User" cannot see the thin boxes round the icons. That's strange, because the first thing I did on reading this topic was to try the "Test out user’s permissions". According to that everything is OK :? I've now tested by fully logging in wit...
