Re: Are sound adjustments 'destructive'—or 'offline?'
I'm assuming that tweaking the eq on the same bit up and down etc., might degrade things. Assuming that your tracks are "32-bit float" format (that's the default) then you can do an enormous amount of EQ tweaking without any noticeable (or even measurable) degrading. 32-bit float is extre...

Re: Help with connecting Soundlab GO56C via USB
Have tried the 'Microphone (USB Audio Codec)' but the sound is mono and the level is way too high (even when recording level is set to minimum it's distorted) "USB Audio Codec" is probably the correct choice. You probably need to change some default settings in the Windows Sound control p...

Re: Are sound adjustments 'destructive'—or 'offline?'
when I adjust EQ say, is it permanently applied to the track (destructive) unless I 'undo?' Yes. If so, does that mean I should duplicate the track—edit it, and keep the original unaltered version in the project window? You should definitely keep a backup copy of all important files. Note that Auda...

Re: Split Audio into Tonal and Transient Components
I don't know if it works with Audacity but there's a plug-in called "Physion" by "Eventide" that claims to do that. I've not tested because it costs $179.

I never changed anything to put them there. They just showed up, and now they are everywhere, and they won't let me ...

Re: LP side two track numbering to follow from side one
The easiest solution is to name one of the exports "album-name Side 1 - <track number>" and the other "album-name Side 2 - <track number>", then it doesn't matter that both start numbering from 1.

Re: Tracks/Clip Alignment
Can you point me to the authoritative best link for NyquitsIDE for windows that is best for audacity work? When I'm on Windows I use NotePad++ https://notepad-plus-plus.org/downloads/ (I usually use Scite on Linux. Both apps are based on Scintilla ) The features that are really very useful: 1. Ensu...
