Re: Splitting channels and merging
After splitting two tracks and putting each left and right channel below each other. What other steps do I have to take in order to merge them all into one track in audacity ( without using export ) ? What exactly are you trying to do? What are you starting with, what do you want to end up with, an...

Re: Modify 'Export Multiple'
You wouldn’t know of a simple change in the plugin to change where the silence is added do you? I've written a new plug-in based on "Pauken" that can repeat the selection and optionally add silence before or after each repeat. The new plug-in is called "Repeat with gaps..." and ...

Re: Splitting channels and merging
Can someone explain to me what is actually meant here, You would do better to ask the person that wrote that. If that is a quote from somewhere on the forum, you could either post your question as a reply to that topic (use the "Reply" button), or post a link here to where that quote has ...

Re: Pauken - add silence and repeat chunk
This is good stuff. I am wanting to make a version of files with silence at the beginning instead of the end. Would it be easy to add the option to add the silence at the beginning? Try this (attached). I've given it an English name ("Repeat with gaps...") as the vast majority of our user...

I don't know that plug-in. Where did you get it?pbassham wrote:the Pauken Nyquist plugin
The "Trim / Extend" plug-in will probably do what you want. http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Nyqui ... .2F_Extend

Re: Exported audio tracks are slightly out of sync
I actually don't think the out of sync issue has to do with latency- It is very closely related. I just selected the recorded tracks in audacity and trimmed them -before- export. Because latency correction is shifting the new track a little to the left, that can put the start of the track behind ze...

Re: Voice and Guitar Together
Having 2 won't matter if Audacity can only handle one recording input at a time. The problem is not "2 microphones". The problem is "2 audio devices" (sound cards). USB microphones have their own "sound card" built in, so 2 USB microphones = 2 "devices". If y...

Re: How do I select an entire track? (Copy/paste)
I want to make a 4th track that concatenates tracks 1,2,3 one after the other. I presume that you want to "replace" the three tracks with the 4th track? Assuming that you are using the current 2.0.6 version of Audacity... 1) Ctrl + A (select all) 2) Tracks menu > Align tracks > Align end ...

Re: Exported audio tracks are slightly out of sync
When you record on a computer, it takes a little time for the sound to be converted to digital, work its way through the software and end up written to the hard drive. This "delay" is called "latency". When recording along with a track that is playing on the computer, this delay ...
