Re: reduce Noise?
Probably not with the current Noise Removal effect, though someone is currently working on that effect and it may provide a effect closer to what you want when they have completed their work.

Re: Preview button in Nyquist effects
Have you tried it with a Preview button?Robert J. H. wrote:It's very easy to set the perfect values when the preview option is available.
If so, does it work as you expect?
If it does, then that would seem to be a valid use of Preview in an analyze plug-in.

Re: Preview button in Nyquist effects
If I add a Preview button to "Regular Interval Labels" on Windows, Preview plays the Preview selection then does nothing else. Yes that is what "appears" to happen. Nyquist does actually analyze the preview mix and returns the labels (specially formatted array of numbers and tex...

Re: built fails for rev 13400+
VS 2013 doesn't seem to be intended for my old Windows 7 64-bit (!). According to this page: http://www.visualstudio.com/products/visual-studio-express-vs Visual Studio Express 2013 supports Windows 7 SP1 (x86 and x64). If you don't have Service Pack 1 installed you will need to install that first:...

Re: Wav file is static
The "Codec ID" that MediaInfo gives for a normal WAV file is "1".
Google search comes up with nothing useful for Codec ID : A119, but it is not a normal WAV file.
Where did the file come from?

Re: Splitting channels and merging
Playing two tracks at the same time is, by definition, "mixing" the two tracks. "Mixing" is the process of "adding together two or more signals. The process that I outlined "adds together" the two left channels and adds together the two right channels. In other wor...

Re: Wav file is static
Are you sure that it is a "WAV" file? From your description it sounds as if the file is in a compressed format that is not recognised by Audacity.

Re: Splitting channels and merging
it is essential for me that both channels are aligned They are "aligned" aren't they? They both start at the same time. If you need to adjust the start position of eithe track, use the Time Shift tool. How do you "align them" when you play them both in VLC? Therefore I would lik...

Re: Voice and Guitar Together
Sounds doable....can you give me an example of a device with a "one stereo (2 channel) sound card"? There are loads. I use a mixing desk with a Behringer UCA 202 (microphones cannot be plugged directly into a UCA 202 because it does not have microphone pre-amps). Other options include (in...

Re: Splitting channels and merging
My desired result would be that the left channel of track 1 and 2 play through the left channel and that the right channel of track 1 and 2 play through the right channel - as if playing both files simultanously and having it audiable through each audio speaker. Ah ha. That is much easier than what...
