Which version of wxWidgets are you using and how did you install it?

Re: Raise (amplify) the peaks
Does the result need to sound "musical"? If it is something like a science experiment then it may be quite easy to do, but if you want it to sound like a high quality recording then the task becomes more difficult.

Re: Import data that was exported by "Sample Data Export"
Does anyone know, which kind of "raw data" I need to import, so that it works? It won't work with "Import Raw". "Raw" data is simply a sequence of binary numbers - digital "1's" and digital "0's". A "text" file is different, even if it rep...

Re: [bug] Incorrect Frequency grid for "Spectrogram log(f)"
Update.
This bug was already on our bug-tracker and a fix for it was proposed just a few weeks ago (just too late to get into the recent 2.0.6 Audacity release), so I expect this will be fixed in the next release.

Re: HTML Manual for 2.0.6
Instructions for downloading and installing the current manual are here: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/un ... anual.html
In Audacity, if the manual is not installed, selecting the link for the manual in the Audacity Help menu will take you directly to that page.

Re: [bug] Incorrect Frequency grid for "Spectrogram log(f)"
You're right, it's a bug. Well spotted. As far as I can make out (I'm not a proper programmer) it looks like the spectrum scale is from 8000 Hz down to 1 Hz, but the spectrum is being plotted with a range from 8000 Hz down to 22 Hz. I don't know why "22 Hz", I've not yet found where that i...

Re: Ctrl+# Shortcuts Do Not Work
however I am experiencing this issue on two different systems, one desktop and one laptop. Interesting. I presume that they are both your machines? What could be "special" about those two computers that does not apply to other Win 8.1 computers? Do you have global hot-keys set for some pr...

Re: Lock pan and volume in tracks
So what would be the default when a new track is created?Edgar wrote:I would make it "per track
If the default can be configured, where would that option be?
I think it is important that we learn from our experience with the "Snap To" control.

Re: How to get audio from vob file
I thought Video Objects (VOB) would open if you had FFMpeg installed. That should work provided that it is not copy protected, (though I've not tried with the current version of FFmpeg on Windows). Instructions for installing FFmpeg for Audacity 2.0.6 are here: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/...

Re: adjudting sound levels for all .wav files
I don't think the Copyright notice ..<snip>.. is not "contrary" to the license terms at all. I didn't say it was. I said that requiring acceptance of the license for "use" of the software imposes a restriction on the user over and above that which is stated in LGPL v.2.1. In oth...
