Audacity is an "audio" application. "MIDI" is not "audio".
See here for more information: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/fa ... .html#midi
Audacity does not play MIDI. You need to use a program that supports MIDI sequencing to do that.

Re: Auto Duck?
For what it's worth, whenever I use Auto Duck, which is not very often, I can't remember which track should be at the top and which one below, so I have to either test it to find out, or look in the manual. "Control track" is not a standard Audacity term. I believe the term was coined by t...

Re: HTML Manual for 2.0.6
I have been to that page from a number of different directions, but as royleith said in the beginning, when we click on the link that says Download the zipped manual "the web page links to a Google search page that reports Google as not supporting Audacity downloads any more." The link th...

This is the page:ray-m wrote:Thanks Steve, but what royleith is saying is that the link you posted and the link in the Audacity Help go nowhere! Try it and you will see it is as described.

Re: Auto Duck?
Can I put the rest of the voice clips in bits on that same track and have the upper track Duck at each instance, or do I need to re-Duck each time? I'm not sure that I understand your question, but anyway I think much of the fun of learning something new is the element of discovery. Whatever it is ...

Re: Remove first two seconds from every track
The easiest way is if you shift all of the tracks together to the right so that you can see the start of each track. To do that, Ctrl+A (select All) then with the Time Shift tool, drag the tracks to the right a bit (does not matter if you move them a bit too far, as long as you can see the start). N...

Ensure that you have the correct device selected for playback in the device toolbar.
Note that when using USB devices, the device should be connected before you open Audacity.

Re: Sound effect file creation, multi channel HELP
The only part I can help with is the Audacity part. Create a project with one mono track for each "channel". If you have stereo sounds, convert them to mono: "Tracks menu > Stereo track to mono". When you have completed all 5/7 tracks, you need to export as a multi-channel file. ...

Sorry I do not speak French, but if I understand your question correctly, then I think that you need to use either:
