Re: generating 500hz tone at 1000 hz sample rate doesn't wor

Perhaps we should ship the Nyquist tone generator instead of the current built in Tone generator. I can think of 2 reasons why not: 1) For waveforms where aliasing is allowed, the built-in effect is quicker than the Nyquist effect. 2) The built-in effect has a time control widget for entering the d...

Re: Windows 7, Audacity selection issuses.

but I'll break it down into steps: Thanks - the problem lies in the detail. Re: Lock pan and volume in tracks

I'm minded to agree with Ed here - I think the active regions for the sliders extend too far above and below each slider. Testing on Linux, the clickable area is very tight to the top/bottom edges of the slider. The clickable height can't be reduced without the "L" / "R" / "...

The A-weighted filter should be more like this: <equalizationeffect> <curve name="A-weighting"> <point f="20.0" d="-50.50"/> <point f="25.0" d="-44.70"/> <point f="31.0" d="-39.40"/> <point f="40.0" d="-34.60"/...

Re: Stereo Vocal Remover

With the new version linked too? That's very strange. It takes 22 s for a 3 min song on my system, whereas the sliding/scale shift effect takes over 4 min (!!!) But I didn't want to disturb you (I guess you're trying Paul's spectrum selection features, aren't you) Yes I'm using the version that you...

For one AVS's noise removal was awesome Noise removal in Audacity is currently getting some attention, so all being well this will see some considerable improvements in effectiveness. I failed to notice AVS4YOU is not free! Personally I have an intense dislike for software that gives the impression...

Re: Windows 7, Audacity selection issuses.

BTW, when I initially select the interval, only that portion of the ruler is shaded for selection. Only after it has selected the entire file and I re-enter the interval will the body portion of the selection be shaded. In your picture, the audio track appears to be correctly selected. How exactly ...
