Re: Silent Subliminal Recording
This is not just clicking a button or two to get the desired results. Here is the topic and the plug-in that I was referring to previously: http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?p=148686#p148686 Using the plug-in should make it easy to create "silent subliminals". Instructions for i...

Re: Display label count
Easiest way:Edgar wrote:I do not know how to create a label which is before 0
1) Create a label near the start of an audio track.
2) Enable "Sync-Lock".
3) Time shift the audio track to the left until the label is behind zero.

Re: Editing a Compressed File (Sound) (Is it damaging to do
Converting to WAV format should be close to perfect. Converting to MP3, Ogg, WMA (apart from WMA lossless), AC3 or any other " lossy " format will lose some sound quality, which may or may not be noticeable. iPods that have internal hard drives may have trouble with WAV files because there...

Re: Need help picking powered mixer for my needs
This one is an actual wall-powered, USB or analog connected, Behringer 6 XLR microphone mixer with 48volt Phantom Power. The only shortcoming I can find is it only has live compressors on the first four channels. The other shortcoming is that it is not a "powered" mixer, which greenEmeral...

Re: Odd sound?
However, after noise removal, I think it damages the sound a bit. Yes, that's a problem inherent to this type of effect. The knack is to select a good section of "noise only" to create the profile. Ideally the selection should be at least 5 seconds. Then it's a matter of juggling the sett...

Re: Auto Duck?
You can Edit > Undo a Mix and Render as you can undo any edit. Just to add; as with all "undo" operations, you can only undo in the reverse order. So, if you did actions: A -> B -> C then you can: Undo C -> Undo B -> Undo A but you cannot undo "A" without first undoing C and B.

Re: Start second track at a precise time
Is there a way to input the precise start time of the second track? I can't seem to find any menu item that allows this. Enter the start time in the Selection Toolbar http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/selection_toolbar.html Click on the track that you want to move so that it is selected (you do ...

Re: Need help picking powered mixer for my needs
The BEHRINGER XENYX X1204USB is not a "powered" amp.
"Phantom" power is for powering condenser microphones, not for powering speakers.
Behringer's current range of powered speakers are here: http://www.behringer.com/EN/Category/Mixers.aspx?s=G300

Re: New user needs advice on the Device Toolbar
Have a look in the Windows Sound Control Panel and ensure that your computer has at least one device enabled for recording and for playback.
What sort of sound card / audio device do you have?
