Avoid using full stops ("period" / "dot") in the file name.
If you have a dot in the file name, Audacity assumes that you are adding the file extension.

Re: How do I raise input levels or increase waveform?
Does increasing the play level for the web site help (you may need to plug in headphones to avoid hearing the web site blaring out).Rikki127 wrote:When recording a web site and with the input levels in Sound preferences jacked up full, the signal levels on Audacity read just a tad bit low,

Re: Raising the Pitch Shortens the Segment at the Same Time
As it says in the manual, Change Pitch does not keep the length exactly as before. http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/change_pitch.html#limitations For more accurate length, use the more advanced "Sliding Time Scale/Pitch Shift" effect: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/sliding_time_s...

Re: 2 Questions from Newbie
Your question is a bit complex to answer directly because there are a lot of things that you "may" be doing (or "may not"). Probably the best approach is if you read this article from the manual, which I expect will answer most of your questions, then ask if you need clarificatio...

Re: importing .FC4 files
.FC4 is not a standard file extension. Many years ago that file extension was used on Amiga computers by the application "Future Composer", which has been obsolete for many years. I found a suggestion on Google that WinAmp may be able to play .FC4 files, but I don't know if that is true. I...

Re: make hotkeys accessible to the background
To avoid getting annihilated by the enemy, you just need to plan in advance so that your Audacity record key that works in all apps isn't used in any of those apps. That will be fun, given that so many key combinations that are not commonly used in games are used by Fraps. There is already a workar...
