Re: How to remove all gaps between clips in one track?
If the silence is low level audio, then try setting the "Detect Silence" level in Truncate Silence to -80 dB. That will work in most cases where the "silence" is not "absolutely" silent. If that has no effect, select over the low level audio and Normalize it to -79 dB ...

Re: Syncing Looped Samples
To maintain the sound quality, don't resample to below 44100. 44100 Hz is a very standard rate for audio (48000 is standard for DVD). Because I'm usually working with audio only (not video) I generally set everything to 44100 Hz, which ensures that I don't run into any compatibility or sample rate m...

Re: Deletes cause unwanted changes in waveform
what's going on? I presume that you are referring to a small change in the appearance of peaks and wiggles in the waveform rather than a major (omg it's completely different :o ) change. If so, then it's nothing to worry about. In order to reduce processing time, whenever possible, Audacity reuses ...

Re: Import wav problem
First i install version 1.2.6 & work in this version Audacity 1.2.6 is obsolete (has been for a long time) and is no longer supported. It is also known to have serious bug on "modern" versions of Windows (Vista and later). I would recommend that you remove both versions of Audacity an...

Re: Syncing Looped Samples
Is there something I may be doing wrong that is causing them to desync? You were right when you wrote "but there seems to be very slight differences in the length" . To ensure that the lengths are exactly the same: 1) ensure that all audio tracks have the same "sample rate". The...

Re: Creating 2 seconds on wma files
What format are you exporting as? (I can't see that in your video).
If you import the exported song back into Audacity, how long does Audacity say it is?

"Did you turn direct monitoring off in your software(sometimes this causes feedback noise)? The only thing like that in Audacity is the "Software Playthrough" setting. That is off by default, but you can check by looking near the bottom of the "Transport" menu (Not selected...

Re: Uploading a song to a music forum
Hello again Ron. I presume that you are still wanting to upload to the Yamaha forum (as per your post here: http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?p=248158#p248158). Unfortunately we are not able to help you with that as we have no connection with the Yamaha forum and no knowledge of how their ...

Re: Audacity can't find realtek audio card
The current version of Audacity is 2.0.6 and it is available here: http://audacityteam.org/download/windows Audacity 2.0.6 should still work on Windows XP even though XP is obsolete and not considered to be secure for online use. Have a look in the Audio Properties (http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki...
