Re: Positive latency correction -- why would you want it?
But I wonder. You can set the latency correction to a positive number, and code is there to shift your recording right rather than left by inserting silence. But, why would you ever want this? Are there strange hardware setups that can really require it? Similarly, why would you want to set latency...

The only thing that I could find on-line about that microphone, is that the bulk price from China is 50 cents US. If that's the microphone that you have, then I would not expect great sound quality.Bhishma wrote:Micro phone is currently eastar eas wm 110

Re: Version 4 plugin documentation
Has the system.lsp bug yet been addressed? Yes, that was fixed shortly after it was reported. I think I'll wait a bit, since rev 13684 release build gives: That was reported by Gale earlier today. I expect someone will be onto it pretty quick. There will be no more new features now until the new ve...

Version 4 plugin documentation
There is now some documentation for version 4 plug-ins: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Nyquist_Plug-ins_Reference Note that to run version 4 plugins requires Audacity 2.1 (or later). There have been a number of bug fixes during alpha development, so the earliest version that should be used is Aud...

Re: Audacity Suddenly Stopped Saving File
Don't use the dot (".") character in file names. Windows treats whatever is after the dot as the "file extension", and relies on that to know what sort of file it is. Audacity will automatically add the correct file extension to the file name, provided that you don't enter a diff...

Re: Import is not working
Is the problem just with that one file?
By the way, reinstalling Audacity never fixes anything. If you need to "reset" Audacity, you need to reset the Audacity preferences - but at this stage I don't think that is the problem.

Applying the envelope tool: none of it.KlarkKentThe3rd wrote:I know about quantization errors and bit accuracy. I was asking about what part of the track gets upconverted/downconverted:

Exporting the file as 16 bit: all of it.

Re: Comparing two supposedly identical tracks.
That's what you want. One above the other so that you can then invert one of them and then mix the two together.KlarkKentThe3rd wrote:I either get one track on top of the other
