Re: Auto labelling - possible?
I'm only voting +1 for the simple and basic core feature, ie. press a key and an incremented numbered label is produced. Which does not solve the request that started this. ;) Simonsmithster wrote: " I wonder is there a function within audacity that would automatically generate and apply a lab...

I'm not sure what you are asking.

Re: panning a mono file with chains?
Unfortunately not if you are working with mono wav files.Robert J. H. wrote:It would be quite easy with the nyquist prompt, at least if you're working with wave files.
Nyquist is not (yet) able to change the number of channels in an Audacity track. That's the one step of the job that we can't yet do in a Chain.

Re: [2.0.4] - Is there a way to splt a large wav file into..
Is there a way to split a large wav file into segments, but have each segment cut at a break in the sound? Like say I have a 1 hour recording of a pod cast... and I want to cut it into 20 min sections.. or around that size... and when the cut is made it is only made when I am not talking? I know ab...

Re: I Did Something I Can't Figure Out How To Undo
So I was messing around with the audacity program for Windows 7,then I accidently pressed something that I can't undo, You have selected the "Multi-tool". Press the F1 key to go back to the normal "Selection Tool". See here for more info: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/too...

Re: panning a mono file with chains?
Currently I don't think there is any way to do that in a Chain. It would be possible to do that with " SoX ", but that is a command line program and you would need to write your own batch script to tell SoX what to do. I don't use Mac, so I've no idea how to do that with a Mac, but if you ...

Do you have an account for editing the manual?
If not, would you like to suggest alternative wording for the manual here?

Re: Tone generator accuracy
is tone generator in Audacity accurate? Yes, very accurate. I mean when I generate sinus/100 Hz - will it generate just 100 Hz signal or 100 Hz + harmonics or other frequencies? Nothing is "perfect", but the error margin is in the order of 0.00000000001%. I can hear other frequencies not ...
