Re: Creating a Cassette Converter plug-in
Hey guys quick question. I'm having problems with Sound Finder. It's detecting gaps between songs as a track as well. Are there any fixes/alternatives? I have posted several alternative versions of Sound Finder here on the forum - several with more "advanced" controls. The forum search fu...

Re: Clicking black "split line" auto-merges. Turn off?
I'm not sure about that. That breaks the ability of TAB or SHIFT + TAB to move into a label text box from outside a box. Good point, I don't often do that and forgot about that. close the label then LEFT or RIGHT arrow. Do you mean the "<" ">" chevrons, or cursor left/right? The...

Re: Clicking black "split line" auto-merges. Turn off?
Nah, you're a power power user. ;) I wasn't when I first discovered that feature 7+ years ago, I was an Audacity noob. It's about as silly as having an overlapping OK and Cancel button IMO. Clearly not. It's clearly broken IMO. Then how is it that we have not been flooded with bug reports and compl...

Re: Playback in left channel only
If you set Audacity to record "1 channel (mono)" it will record the left channel (the channel that your mic is plugged into). The normal way to record a single mic is to record it as a mono track. A mono track will play back through both left and right speakers equally, unless you "pa...

Re: Playback in left channel only
A wild guess: Do you have a microphone plugged into the left channel of the Scarlett and nothing in the right channel of the Scarlett?
Re: bit rate
For WAV files you can easily calculate the actual sample rate. The total size of a WAV file will be just a little over: number of bytes per sample x number of channels x duration of recording in seconds. For example, at 44100 Hz sample rate, 16 bit stereo, 6 minute recording: "16 bit" is 2...

Re: plugin not in the "effect" list
Audacity on Windows is a 32 bit application and so does not support 64 bit plugins. You could try the 32 bit versions. Some plugins may not work in "graphical mode", in which case you could try turning off graphical mode in preferences. See here for additional information: http://manual.au...

Did you see a wiggly waveform in Audacity? Did the recording play in Audacity?ju1234 wrote: The recording process seemed to go fine.

Re: Clicking black "split line" auto-merges. Turn off?
The analogy is less clear when there are region labels. If the cursor is inside a region label, does the "previous" shortcut move to the left boundary of that region label, or to the right or left boundary of the previous region label? For audio clips - move to the next / previous clip bo...
