Re: blank parts of recording

Do you have Norton 360 on your machine?

Re: Spectrum analysis

Look in the Audacity plug-ins folder and find the file: SpectralEditMulti.ny
Please attach that file to your reply using the "upload attachments" feature below the message composing box.

Re: Getting White Noise, Goes away when I talk

Your recording level is very low. Adjust the gain and level on the mixer so that the meters on the mixer show maximum peaks just a little below 0 dB. Re: Convert scientific data to tones

My data are numerical. Your data is numerical text . Text characters are not the same as pure (data) numerical values. For example, in ASCII encoding, the numerical value of the text character "3" is (decimal) 51 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ASCII#ASCII_printable_code_chart What is requir...

Re: help with sox

I've used SoX a bit, but I'm no expert, and (as this is the "Audacity" forum) I think you'll be very lucky if a SoX expert happens to see your post.
You may do better asking on the SoX mailing list: https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/sox-users
