Re: How To Treat A Quack?
I'm not quite sure what you mean by the "quack", but I'm guessing it's this: It's Over sample clip2.flac What I did was to select another, similar part, and use that to "patch" over the bit I wanted to replace. tracks000.png tracks001.png tracks002.png tracks003.png tracks004.png

First you need to select a part that will loop seamlessly. http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/audacity_selection.html Try selecting from 1.167 seconds to 2.745 seconds. Check that it will loop without glitching by pressing Shift+Space. If necessary, zoom in (http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/zo...

If that was a very long while ago, it may have been me. I questioned the behaviour and accepted the developer's explanation of why it was designed that way.Gale Andrews wrote:Though I now recall someone on [email protected] a while ago arguing it was a bug that it summed stereo pairs.

Select the format that you want in the Export dialog http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/fi ... ialog.html
The selected format should be remembered the next time you export.

Re: Convert voice recording into ultrasound and then play it
Humans are not able to hear ultrasound, but according to some research, the subconscious mind can actually perceive ultrasound and suggestions played this way will have a greater effect. The scientific evidence for that is extremely flimsy. There have been many studies into this and virtually all o...

Re: How to insert selection at the beginning of a track
What do you mean by "insert selection"?
Are you wanting to paste some audio that you have cut or copied from another part of the project?
Are you wanting to insert a new recording?
Are you wanting to import an audio file into the start of a track?
Something else?

Re: Size Of Edited Files
But, since 16 bits is already better than human hearing why are we offered 24 bits? It seems that would be jacking up the file size without any benefit. 24 bit and higher have benefits during audio production. They provide more headroom in the digital domain, and greater precision when processing. ...

Re: Track comparison: keyboard shortcuts or macro recording?
An alternative key combination is: Shift + S down Shift + S up with the Solo button behaviour set to "Simple": http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/tracks_preferences.html That does not really make it easier unless you are comparing 3 or more tracks at the same time, or are using a mouse. ...
