Re: Can the time be entered to the name of track automatical

At the moment it is not possible. No promises, but there may be a plugin available later this year that allows the name to be set to the current time with a single key press.

Re: How to record from Rythmbox?

It was automatically installed by the Ubuntu Update manager. That happens quite offen, nearly daily. I guess that you must have the "nightly PPA" in your sources list (https://launchpad.net/~audacity-team/+archive/ubuntu/daily) Alpha versions are not intended for production work. They are...

Re. this post: http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?p=265051#p265051 Thanks, Koz. Windows 8.1 and I'm checking my settings again just in case. Robert, in case you still can't access the OneDrive I've attached my latest test here. Cheers. Edit - added one more after doing a re-setup of the mic...

Re: How to record from Rythmbox?

I don't understand why the recording devices are displayed like that in the Device Toolbar.
I also don't understand why you have an alpha version of Audacity and not a release version.
What is the exact version of Audacity, where did it come from, and how did you install it?

Re: Subtract one track from another..

You have to use an application that aligns the signals at the millisecond -or rather: sample- level. Audio track may be aligned to sample level using Audacity, which Loonwolf indicated that he did. since I have been sternly warned to "cease and desist" from mentioning any non-Audacity pro...

Re: Suggestion (Bandpass Filter and Custom FFT Filter)

That's the old text, so I assume a copy/paste error here. Oops, my mistake  The current text: When the spectral selection begins at 0 Hz this effect applies a low-frequency shelving filter with the half-gain frequency defined by the upper frequency of the spectral selection. The gain control ...

Re: it starts playing when i add markers

What are your thoughts Steve? Until we get a good scrub/jog/shuttle feature we have a compromise situation. I have a lot of sympathy for anyone who shoots themselves in the foot with the Ctrl+Click behaviour as it is now, but if we provide a "safety catch" and the user chooser to turn the...

Re: it starts playing when i add markers

Providing a way to turn it off could be an interim measure given the whole "how to scrub/scrub and play/play conveniently" issue may not be quickly settled. Yes I expect that it will take some time to fully resolve the whole scrub/seek/jog business, so I agree that an interim measure is a...
