Re: ZOOM H4n as Audio Interface for Mic

If you connect the Zoom to the Mac first, then when the Mac has recognised it, launch Audacity, the mic should show up as a USB recording device in the device toolbar . However, I probably wouldn't bother doing that. The Zoom H4 is totally silent. Is your Mac totally silent or does it have a fan? Al...

Re: How to get rid of extraneous noises

I'm sure it's in the manual somewhere and I'm just not thinking of the right thing to look for. I know what you mean - It's like looking up a word in the dictionary when you don't know how to spell it ;) What you're looking for is "Split Delete" It's in the "Edit menu > Remove Specia...

Re: How to center sound when recording

How are you recording the guitar?
What sort of microphone?
How is it connected to your computer?

Best guess: you should be recording in mono. A mono recording will play through both left and right. Mono recording can be set in the device toolbar.

Sorry but I cannot see your computer and I cannot see what you are doing. Unless you describe in detail, step by step, what you are doing and what the problem is, we will not be able to help you. The instructions here: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/faq_installation_and_plug_ins.html#lame do w...

Re: Disallow adjusting an envelope inflection point ...

Well, perhaps I am missing something, but the result I get from clicking on the 'background' of the control panel for the music bed track does not show the *audio* being highlighted as selected, click-to-select.png Shift + Left Click will toggle the track selection. Use Shift + Left Click on each t...
