Re: Cut audio from multiple points and merge?
If I understand your question correctly, all you need to do is to delete the parts that you want to remove, then Export your finished masterpiece.

I presume that you are starting with something similar to this:
You need to "time shift" the second track so that it looks something like this:

Re: Making Two Shorter Tracks Into One Longer Track
Audacity 2.0.6 will open projects made with 1.3.x. Because 1.3.x is so old you will need to uninstall it before installing 2.0.6 (usually you can just install over the top of the old version, but not from 1.3.x to 2.x). Audacity is a multi-track audio editor, so it is designed to handle multiple tra...

Re: Standard intro and exit recording different bodies
Yes, absolutely. There are several ways to accomplish this. The way I would do it is: 1) Record the intro. 2) Export the intro as a WAV file. 3) Record the outro. 4) Export the outro as a WAV file. Now, any time that you want to use them: a) Make your recording b) Edit / trim the recording as necess...

That's part of the Windows operating system.AudacityGuy wrote:There are 4 instances of "ntdll.dll

Re: Is there a way to make people (voice) mumble
I used the "Delay" effect: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/delay.html First, ensure that the track is "32 bit float" (see: "Set sample format" http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/track_drop_down_menu.html#format) Optional: Apply the low pass filter. Then apply the...

Re: Is there a way to make people (voice) mumble
You can make the voice a bit "muffled" by applying the "Low Pass Filter" http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/lo ... ilter.html
but you will still be able to hear what he is saying unless you apply it very severely.

Re: Audacity suddenly spiking to 100% cpu when opening a fil
Yes, very weird, especially as Audacity only runs on one processor. (there is a feature request to make it multi-processor capable, but we don't have that yet). Some possibilities that come to mind: * If you are opening a file that is not natively supported by Audacity, then Audacity will be using a...
