What is "it" that is running slow? Do you mean your turntable? If it's an old turntable it may be in need of a service.

Re: can't find wxwidgets

What Gale meant was to use the -n flag so as to perform a "dry run"

http://unixhelp.ed.ac.uk/CGI/man-cgi?make
-n, --just-print, --dry-run, --recon
Print the commands that would be executed, but do not execute them

Re: windows wasapi stops record when silenced.

That might mean that if someone wanted the current behaviour, I imagine that many will. I expect that many users will find it to be very convenient that they can set Audacity to record another application and that Audacity starts the recording as the other application starts playing, and then Audac...

Normally we prefer patches that are relative to the source code root, so I updated the patch to do that and posted it to bugzilla: http://bugzilla.audacityteam.org/show_bug.cgi?id=440

Re: Is there any way to analyze an audio file and disc

I can upload one of the files in a directly playable format, if that's not against forum rules. The forum only allows small files to be attached (max 2MB). Given the dubious provenance of the files I don't think that we can allow a direct link to be posted. Please check your Private Messages (see l...

Important information for Windows XP users.

Microsoft announced: As of April 8, 2014, support and updates for Windows XP are no longer available. Don't let your PC go unprotected. Please be careful with Windows XP. Because Microsoft are no longer officially supporting XP, it will be unpatched or not fully patched against any new security vuln...
