Re: Recording from line in stops

I'm recording the line in, not from u USB cassette player. Is this necessary? No, I'm just ruling out some of the most likely explanations for the problem. When you say that it stops recording, do you mean, just as if you had clicked the stop button? (no error message, the recording just stops) Are...

Re: about internet archive and it's new look

OK, thanks for clearing that up. I trust that you understand the need for us to be strict about advertising and enjoy using this spam-free forum ;) My question is who else is using internet archive for podcasting and how they've uploaded to it correctly and have had it working with their rss feed. I...

Re: Audacity crash if applied twice a VST Guitar Rig Plugin

There's a lot of improvements being made to VST support and a new version of Audacity (2.1.0) is due to be released very soon. If you can cope with the issue for now, I would suggest that you give Audacity 2.1 a go when it is released. We will be announcing the release here on the forum, but if you ...

Re: Recording from line in stops

If there is a time selection (see: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/selection_toolbar.html) then recording will (by default) stop at the end of the selection. To ensure that there is no selection, click the http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/m/images/0/01/rewind.png "Skip to Start" butto...

Thanks for all the detail, but you missed out one important one: the exact three-section version of Audacity ("Help menu > About Audacity")

Re: New Logo Proposal

The option to add an image to the Logo Gallery post is no longer available The Gallery page is locked so that it does not get cluttered with irrelevant posts. The way it works is to attach the image to a post in a new topic, then one of the forum admin transfers it (links it) to the gallery. I've d...

Re: about internet archive and it's new look

I will link it just incase anyone is interested in it http://feeds.feedburner.com/smalltalkgamingpodcast That looks like a lame excuse for advertising your podcast. Unauthorised advertising (spamming) on this forum is strictly prohibited. It's OK to link to an external site when relevant to an issu...

You have to use region labels. When you move back up to the audio track, it is that defined region that is selected. It won't work with point labels because there is no defined region.

Re: Sound Drops Out During Recording

It sounds like some program is being "helpful" and clearing out Audacity's temporary files when the temp folder gets to a certain size.
Do you have Norton 360 or anything similar installed?
