Thanks Bruski. The curve loads fine once the file extension has been changed.
Could you say something about that curve. Is it for a specific purpose? Are those the settings that work best with your speakers?

Re: saving as mp3
they are file type 15 or 15c or 00 What do you mean "file type 15 or 15c or 00"? Do you mean that the file extension (the last part of the file name after the dot) is "15" or "15c" or "00"? When you Exported the file as MP3, did you enter a name that ended wi...

Really interesting effect you've got there. Are you the author, or was that a different Steve? Thanks for reminding me of that repository; now I've got some new toys! Yes, I'm the author. Please note that plugins in that section of the forum are "unofficial" and mostly "experimental&...

Re: Recording From Computer Too Slow
If the sound quality (other than the speed) is OK, then my guess is that it is due to mis-matched sample rates. Does the difference in speed tally with a difference between 44100 Hz and 48000 Hz? The first thing that I'd try is rebooting the computer, then test by recording something that has worked...

Try this "reverso" effect.
It takes short sections of the sound and reverses them.

Re: Shepard Tone without plugin
Yes it's possible, but quite tricky. You can use the "Chirp" generator to create the sweeping tones (http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/generate_menu.html#chirp), then use either the envelope tool (http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/envelope_tool.html) or the Adjustable Fade effect (ht...

I thought this was the windows forum This IS the Windows forum. I split your post from the end of someone else's topic in the Mac OS X forum. I am using 2.0 for Audacity. Audacity version numbers have three parts. The current version is 2.0.6. You can find the full version number by looking in the ...

Re: Problem with .wav format after exporting audio file
But then a warning window popped up and said certain programs might not be able to recognize this format and did I want to go ahead? Was the message: You are about to export a WAV file with the name "Sample.test". Normally these files end in ".wav", and some programs will not op...

Re: Setting 192 Bitrate
I went into Options and tried all categories. My guess is that you are reading some instructions that are intended for the obsolete 1.2.6 version of Audacity. The current version of Audacity is 2.0.6 and is available here: http://audacityteam.org/download/ If you are on Windows or Mac OS X and you ...
