Re: How can I not hear myself when I'm recording?

I'm not on Windows, so I'm just going on what Google tells me ;)

Click the Recording tab, then click Microphone, and then click Properties.

Re: Possible improvement to Generate click track

Until very recently that would not have been possible, at least, not in a reliable cross-platform way. Smoothing and Sensitivity are completely different in the new version.
Leave "Smoothing" at 0 and Sensitivity at 6 and adjust "Noise Reduction (dB)" to taste.

Re: Change tempo without changing pitch

It could be argued that the two tools are backwards. Yes it could be, but you're aware of the historical background. The Change Speed / Tempo / Pitch suite was well established long before the first version of STS/PS, and the latter still has some issues, such as no Preview. Perhaps a better argume...

Re: Audacity big Effects menu: (bug) and quick fix

There may well be changes to such things as mouse wheel control after we update to wxWidgets 3.x. There is currently no schedule for that update, but it's just a matter of time.

No problem.

As a matter of interest (and possibly of use to others), what changes did you make to PA?
