Re: EnVivo Cassette Converter

Audacity 1.2.6 is ancient and no longer supported. I have tried using the device with version 2.0.0, but it doesn't transfer the music. It's likely to be a set-up problem. The current version of Audacity is 2.1.0, which you can get from here: http://audacityteam.org/download/windows Download the Rec...

Ensure that the first track is not "selected" (highlighted with the darker grey colour).
Ensure that "Sync Lock" is not enabled (see: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/sy ... roups.html)

Re: Figure out channel name of each track ?

It seems audacity does not have such function yet. Hope this program can do it in the near future! That is probably not possible. There are standard channel allocations for different formats, but they are different for different formats and there is no guarantee that a recording actually uses the s...

Re: Commercial Radio in Background Effect

Of course, crank the volume way down (probably by -20dB or more) then add some reverb. (Or, add the reverb first and then crank it down.) A little echo might help too as long as the echo isn't too obvious. In addition, use the Equalization effect to reduce both the low frequencies (below about 300 ...

Re: Remove one track from the whole

If they are separate "Audacity tracks", then just click on the [X] in the top left corner of the track to delete it. If that does not do what you expect, select "Undo" from the "Edit" menu, and then describe the problem to us in more detail (a screenshot may help make i...

Re: Audacity manual permissions problem

I notice that the help is delivered via a browser. I am using Chromium (Version 41.0.2272.76 Built on Ubuntu 14.04, running on LinuxMint 17). Am I perhaps missing some setting to tell audacity what to use? The Audacity help menu simply links to the html help files, so your system should open them w...
