Re: Blue Yeti only makes feedback noise when recording?
I also do have my settings in Audacity turned all the way up, with the gain all the way down on the mic. The gain should be turned up to a reasonable level on the mic, and then adjust the recording level on your computer to suit. If your mic has a "clip light" on it, turn up the mic gain ...

Re: Add a new single channel track
1.0.0 only had "New Audio Track" so that concept was not renamed when adding a menu item to add a stereo track. I thought would be the reason, though Audacity has had "Add Stereo Track" for longer than I've been using it. I'll move this to the FR board so that everyone gets thei...

Re: Add a new single channel track
At the moment it is feedback. My feedback is that this wording is peculiar.Paul L wrote:Is this abour feedback or feature requests?

Re: Add a new single channel track
It came up in a question that I was replying to and struck me as peculiar. Is there a reason why a single channel (mono) track is, in this context, referred to as an "audio track" rather than a "mono track", or is it just an accident of history? If the latter, then this is a sugg...

Re: Audacity not recognising its own file type
To open an Audacity "project" (.AUP file and associated _data folder), use "File menu > Open" and select the .aup file. To import a normal audio file into Audacity, use "File menu > Import audio" and select the audio file. To open a new project and import an audio file ...

Re: Monitoring turns off every time I play a track
You've not given enough information for us to work with. Which version of Windows? Which version of Audacity? What sort of "effects"? Hardware stomp pedals? How is your guitar connected to the computer? Have you mic'd up your guitar amp? What sort of sound card? How / where are your speake...

Re: Loop clik in Android Mobile
You have not provided enough information, but my guess is: don't expect to get a seamless loop from an MP3 format file. MP3 format is not capable of seamless looping - the closest that you can get to a seamless loop when using MP3 files is to ensure that the loop starts with silence and ends with si...

Add a new single channel track
To add a new 2 channel stereo track:
Tracks > Add New > Stereo Track
To add a new 1 channel mono track:
Tracks > Add New > ???
Tracks > Add New > Stereo Track
To add a new 1 channel mono track:
Tracks > Add New > ???

Re: can't cut anymore
Please provide the information requested in the pink box above. I am also having problems in creating an extra empty file beneath the file I want to edit. You mean an empty "track"? In Audacity 2.1.0 you can create a new (empty) track from the "Tracks menu > Add New > Audio track"

Re: How do I stop Audacity from auto-splitting/splicing?
it will split my file into thousands of parts. That is really a pain in the butt to deal with having to reconnect them all. in different places when I'm editing for different things that overlap. Ignore the splits 'till you have finished editing, then you can "join" all of the split secti...
