Re: No Sound on WAV. File from JAM MAN Stereo
I've had a look at the Jam Man Stereo manual (http://digitech.com/en/products/jamman-stereo) and nowhere can I see it say that it stores recordings in WAV format. It does say that the loops are WAV format, but it looks like they "manage" them in some way on the disk (it's rather vague abou...

Re: Recording other people
If you are both talking at the same time, then no, you can't fix it.
If you are talking in turn, then you could try this "AGC" effect: http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic ... 79#p194179

Re: Error compiling 2.1.0
I noticed that, unlike the source for 2.0.6, the 2.1.0 source tree did not include the directory lib-src/libsoxr in the copy I downloaded. Is the source for libsoxr somehow missing? It is not practical for Audacity to include "all" libraries that it uses. Most of the libraries are standar...

Re: nyquist prompt to fade EQ
I really don't think I could get my head around writing in nyquist as I find computer language really difficult. You might be surprised. You don't have to understand every little detail to have fun with it ;) If I wanted to change the parameters of the code you wrote, how do I do that? Nyquist read...

Re: locked Play Region/cursor
I think that a large part of this problem is that we do not visually distinguish between the current "play position" when stopped, and the "start of the play region". Things would fall into place much better if we did:

Re: make a backing track
i was wondering if there is some way to remove the sax line from the original song ? not karaoke versions Not without a lot of slow and arduous work with expensive software (such as celemony melodyne editor). Your best bet is to find a good MIDI version of the song and a good MIDI player with a goo...

Re: Freeze when hitting the play/ pause / stop button
i had though the "dmix" setting had solved the freezing problem, and it seemed to for a little while, but then Audacity froze up while hitting play/stop (using the spacebar), i'm running linux mint 17, audacity 2.0.5, 16gb of RAM, 100s of gb's of harddrive space. argh. See this post from ...

Re: locked Play Region/cursor
Twiddling the nomenclature doesn't help imo - it doesn't resolve the issues that "Play from a point" is fundamentally different to "play from the start to end of a region and then stop". I agree that there have (historically) been significant differences that would make "lo...
