Re: Where cn I download old version

Sorry, I don't understand what your question is. I thought that you wanted the old style meters, and I have told you how to do that.
Your recording looks OK.

Re: Where cn I download old version

The old style meters are available in the current version of Audacity, so you don't need to downgrade to the old version.
See here in the manual for how to change the meter style: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/me ... .html#menu
The old meter style is the "RMS" style.

Secure HTTPS now available for https://www.audacityteam.org/

The Audacity website is now available via HTTPS: https://www.audacityteam.org/ and: https://audacityteam.org/ . The benefit of HTTPS is that data is transferred securely between the website and the visiting web browser. Specifically it prevents log-in credentials from being intercepted. Download lin...

Re: Audacity heading towards spamnation??

Audacity had a 15 year history with SF and during that time SF have hosted the Audacity website. Through years of hard work in developing Audacity and contributions in many forms from countless individuals, the program has become extremely popular, attracting many millions of visitors to the website...

Re: locked Play Region/cursor

I have some serious reservations about this mockup of a Transport Toolbar with a speed control: 1) It will be far too easy for users to accidentally nudge the slider (we already know that folk do this with the pan and gain sliders in the TCP). Fair enough that you do have the visual cue of the nume...

Re: Error compiling 2.1.0

Unless you need to distribute Audacity or libsoxr, sudo make install would be much simpler. Yes it is simpler, but I also quite like to use CheckInstall because it's simpler to cleanly uninstall, without needing to keep the original build tree in the home directory. It also provides a bit of a safe...

Re: Recording other people

Thanks so much for the help! But I just realized I didn't save these in Audacity, I only saved them as WAV files. Can I export it back to Audacity? You can open Audacity to create a new project, then Import ("File menu > Import Audio") the WAV file into the new project. It's not "ess...

Re: Error compiling 2.1.0

For Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (which is still a supported version), libsoxr is not available in the repositories. Yes, taking it out was a little premature. Debian Stable only got libsoxr-dev a couple of days ago. Would it work just to drop the source code from sourceforge into audacity's lib-src directory ...
