Re: Analyse Frequency Changes and Increase Sampling Rate

what i meant was when i change the window size, the dB seems to change too (dB goes down when window size goes up) even though I am analyzing the same sample. The reason for this is that the graph is scaled such that a sine wave (pure tone) in any one frequency band will register as the same amplit...

Re: Can no longer record streaming radio from external DAC-t

It looks like something has exclusive control of some of your hardware so that Audacity cannot see it. What I'd suggest is that you make a backup copy of your .asoundrc file and then delete or move .asoundrc out of the way. Then reboot your computer (full power-off cold reboot) and wait for the comp...

Beyond this value ("50"), there would be a problem.

Re: Set of basic effects

IMO there is no need to do make choices at all with the number we currently ship But THAT is a choice the we make. You appear to be concerned that we should not decide on the user's behalf which effects to include by default in the menus, but seem quite happy to decide which effects to ship and whi...

and we should provide the complete shipped effects as a starting point for the minority who need to make such a decision. but as I wrote in the first post: "This does NOT mean that other effects are not available, but that other effects are not listed by default. Additional effects could be in...

Open Audacity and select "Help > Audio Device Info"
Copy and paste the full information from the "device info" into your reply.

Re: Set of basic effects

This is my list, and I have tried to take into account the broad range of uses for Audacity. I have excluded many "fringe cases" even though they may be very desirable or even essential for a minority of users. Those marked with * I believe need TLC. Those marked with ** are conspicuous by...

Set of basic effects

This was asked on one of the mailing lists recently, but I think worth reproducing here so that those that do not subscribe to the mailing lists may contribute. What effects are essential for inclusion in Audacity by default? This does NOT mean that other effects are not available, but that other ef...

Re: lack of licensing ??

If you can wait a few weeks the next release version should be out.

Nightly versions are not recommended for production work and may contain bugs and/or incomplete features, but yes I think the issue is fixed in the current nightly version.
