The question being discussed is whether the "Add New > Audio Track" menu item should really say "Add New > Mono Track".

Is there some way for me to process an entire file to even out the sound levels? Basically, I want to take the low sounds up and the high sounds down. Please post a short audio sample. There's a bit of "reverb" there, but it's 99% voice acting. Take away the voice acting and you have just got "someone talking with a bit of reverb", and not even close to "Slark's voice"

What exactly do you mean? Do you mean that the recording tab cannot be selected?

Without any set-up, 2 mouse clicks and it started recording the external audio. How is it doing that? Through PulseAudio or through ALSA? If the device is working with PulseAudio as it should, then it will now work with Audacity. If the Virtuoso ALSA drivers are present and working, then it should ...
