Re: Help with robotic sounding dialogue
I have attached a small sample to the post. If anyone knows any methods to increase the quality of the audio and make it sound less robotic your advice would be much appreciated, Sorry but that recording is beyond saving. You will need to re-record. So if you know how to put eq presets in the progr...

Re: [shell] Open file when Audacity is already running
Open it from the GUI.
Either "File menu > New" or the shortcut "Ctrl + N".

Re: Custom export format
Yes, and I can enter the entire command-line in the external encoder dialog, but that makes for a long and complicated command line and I have to remember all of the various flags. Re: recording.
Sounds like your computer thinks that your headphones are a microphone.
Strangely enough, headphones will work as microphones, just not very well. Try yelling into the headphones while audacity is recording and you may get a weak recording.
What are you actually trying to record?

Re: Rapid Comparison Switching
Sorry but I think this is still too complex for average user. I somewhat like the idea of pressing one button only to toggle between hearing one track on its own then another on its own, but we can do that now in Standard Mode. The scheme I proposed was not quite right. The tricky thing is to devic...
