Re: Old Audacity versions, correct release dates? / info...
The dates look to be about right. The overlap between 1.2.x and 1.3.x was because 1.3.x was a "beta" series that was developed in parallel with the 1.2.x "release" series. Development of the 1.2.x series ended in around 2008 and the final beta version was 1.3.14 (December 2011). ...

Re: Audacity stops recording when I switch applications...
I can't reproduce the problem. I'm trying to get a clear picture of when exactly it stops, in the hope that that sheds some light on this mystery. Back to the previous scenario: Open a text file in the default text editor and Audacity. No other applications open (not even your web browser). Resize t...

Re: Audacity stops recording when I switch applications...
So if you have a text file open and Audacity open, and resize them so that you can have them side by side, then you can start recording in Audacity but as soon as you click on the text file, Audacity stops?

What is the "something else" that you are trying to do while recording?

Re: Audiobook - Small Sample - Welsh voice
Pretty sure Koz is referring to the attached equalization curve. I don't think there is an official download location for stuff like this (although perhaps there should be.) I've posted it here so that it will be easier to find in future: http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?p=276850#p276850...

Re: Submit your EQ Curves
This is a "high-pass" rumble filter designed for vocal recordings. It can greatly assist in reducing rumbles, pops, and other low frequency noise with little if any affect on the sound of the voice. If your microphone has a low frequency cut setting and you use a Pop filter then this filte...

Re: NEED HELP! Guitar Recording with Peavey X-Port Interface
I really would like my own personal guy to help me with all my questions We don't provide 1 to 1 support. Audacity is free and is primarily developed and supported by volunteers. Support is via this public forum. 1. When I record, I can hear what my guitar is playing through my headphones BUT when ...

Re: Bug: default sample format ignored for imports
It is arguably an Audacity bug that Audacity does not automatically convert the imported audio to the format specified as the default in Preferences, but this is tied up with a much bigger issue about how Audacity handles integer formats internally. Tackling the bigger issue is risky because it touc...

Re: When converting files, how do you keep the 'contributing
Audacity does not embed artwork in the metadata. This is a limitation to Audacity's metadata support. For file types that support embedding artwork, (such as MP3), you would need to save the artwork as a file, and then use a third party application to (re-)attach the artwork to the file that has bee...

Re: Help! Blue Yeti high pitch noise
I think the suppliers are depending on the Yeti users not talking to each other. "Does your Yeti fail ACX AudioBook because of that whiney noise? Mine does, too!" "Hey, wait. Mine does that!!" "No foolin'? I wondered about that stupid noise." And etc. One thing to reme...
