Re: How do I edit multitrack
Editing in Audacity is not "just like Audition" because they are different programs. Sure there will be many similarities, but if you really want "just like Audition" then you will have to use Audition. Similarly if you want "just like Sonar" then you have to use Sonar....

Re: "Wave Stats" plug-in
So it would appear that all that is needed is to upload the plugin to the wiki and the edit those two pages to include it in the manner of the other plugins there. Am I missing anything? I'll not have time to do that in the next few days, but I'll be happy to upload it to the wiki later in the week...

Re: splitting tracks
Yes, you can either split the track into separate left and right channels, or split to two mono tracks. Click on the name of the track (at the top of the info box on the left end of the track) to select the commands. See: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/au ... _menu.html

Re: Recommend System Specs for Reliable Podcasting in Audaci
I run Audacity on an old, budget Pentium dual-core with Debian stable. I have no problems with long recordings in 32-bit float stereo, other than running out of disk space (due to a small hard drive and 3 operating systems on the machine).. I have no experience of Celeron processors. Atom processors...

Re: EZ-Patch Double Note [SOLVED]
I've done a fair bit of "audio restoration" and it's always a challenge. i tend to be quite wary of restoration effects that are applies to the entire track - always keep a backup! One useful technique is to duplicate the original track (select the track the Ctrl+D), mute the original trac...

Re: Noise when using Powered USB Hub to connect Audio Interf
I think this board is as good as any ;) I know that one of the developers managed to get Audacity working on a Pi. He built Audacity from source, (which apparently was an extremely slow process), and the result was Audacity that "sort of worked". He was still left with the problem that the...

Re: PQ coding?
WAV (and AIFF) is a specific type of RIFF format https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Resource_Interchange_File_Format. Th RIFF format definition has no mention of "PQ code". PQ code are two channels of the subcode on a CD https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Compact_Disc_subcode I don't see what PQ cod...

Re: "Wave Stats" plug-in
The proper answer:
Text output from Nyquist plug-ins is just plain text, or to be more precise, the message box that Audacity creates to display string data returned from a Nyquist plug-in only displays plain text characters. So no colour, just black text.

Re: "Wave Stats" plug-in
Is there a mechanism to control font, text color, or style (ie bold) in the printout from a plugin? It would be nice to be able to put up the "failed" information in red for example. XXXXXX X XXX XX XX X X X XX XX X X X XX XXXXX XXXXXXX X XX XX XX XX X XX XX XX XX XXX XXXXXX Length of sel...
