Do we have a sound sample without the Kaotica eyeball?
If not, could we have one with just the Rode pop filter and a mouth-to-mic distance of about 15 cm.

Re: 2.1.1 build error on Ubuntu
I'm not familiar with how you are building, but I noticed: compilation terminated. configure:5242: $? = 1 configure: failed program was: | /* confdefs.h */ | #define PACKAGE_NAME "audacity" | #define PACKAGE_TARNAME "audacity" | #define PACKAGE_VERSION "2.0.6" | #define...

Re: New Limiter in 2.1.1
I found it beneficial to precede limiters and compressors with either Amplify or Normalize to put the show waveforms somewhere predictable before acting on them. In your case, it would eliminate the need to even premeasure the show sound. Amplify to default and then Limit the peaks. You know where ...

Re: SVN Checkout

Just go to the GitHub address in your web browser. https://github.com/audacity/audacity There is a dowload link for the current source code in the right hand column. The current ZIP ...

Re: New Limiter in 2.1.1
"it worked before, why did they change it?" Although it probably does not matter in your particular case, the new Limiter can provide much better sound quality than the old "Hard Limiter". Is there supposed to be a "debug" button? When I click it, there's a Nyquist err...

Re: New Limiter in 2.1.1
Okay, let's consider the file in the attached pic. Unless you are zoomed in vertically, it does not look like the peak is anywhere near -27 dB. It looks closer to about -4 dB :? I'd estimate that the peak level of the music is around -20 dB. My old workflow was basically this: 1) select the loudest...
