Re: How to move several tracks up/down? (ordering)
I'd like to suggest "Move selected tracks up/down/to Top/to Bottom" menu entries or something like that. Currently you can only move one track at a time, but there are already menu commands for moving tracks "up / down / to top / to bottom" in the track dropdown menu (see: http:...

Re: Save Project Comes up Automatically
However, somewhere in the process I think I may have changed something, or it's a new feature in the latest Audacity...but whenever the recording is done, it is automatically bringing up the save project dialogue. Are you using "Timer Recording"? (http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/time...

Re: A command which is gone in Audacity 2.1.1
When I tried to press the "C" key to use the Play/Preview cut command in a sound file in Audacity 2.1.1, it didn't work for me, and even I couldn't find it in the preferences dialog. Have you removed it from Audacity? Or what's happening here? Looks like it is a bug in Audacity 2.1.1. We ...

Re: Crossfade Tracks error
Reboot your computer, then with your file explorer, go to: Users\<user name>\AppData\Roaming\Audacity\ Delete the files: audacity.cfg pluginregistry.cfg pluginsettings.cfg This will reset Audacity back to day 1 defaults which should remove any incompatible settings that may be causing the problem. T...

Re: Crossfade Tracks error
I'm not able to reproduce the error.
What version of Windows are you using?
Which version of Audacity?

Re: Normalizing several files of music
Audacity only handles one set of metadata for the "project", not separate metadata per track. You may want to request as a new feature that Audacity should hold metadata per track, but that is not a simple as it may at first seem. For example, if you have metadata per track, and you create...

Re: edit question
I remember reading that it its possible to select the portion to be deleted, and before delete, listen to five seconds before and five seconds after to make sure it is not only correct but has a flowing sound. Many thannks It's not necessarily "5 seconds", but the feature that you are loo...

Re: Separating stereo buffers in individual mono buffers
I think that it would be more relevant to an Android forum. As far as I can tell your question is about the Android sound system and really has nothing to do with Audacity.Anish.kumar wrote:this place as this seems to be the right place to post audio related queries.

Re: Crossfade Tracks error
Yes "interesting" error message. The message is referring to setting in "Adjustable fade" and has nothing to do with "Crossfade Tracks".
