Re: batch resample

SoX should work.

Out of interest, what are these files that have a 500 kHz sample rate? That is a massively over the top high sample rate for audio

Re: more frustrating audacity 2.1.1

I'm trying to piece together what you are doing and exactly what is not working for you. Stop me where I'm wrong, and fill in the missing details. 1) You have opened Audacity 2) You imported an MP3 file 3) You edited the file 4) The edited file plays correctly in Audacity 5) When you try to save the...

Re: Spitfish problem: real-time previewed effect is stronger

At Gale's suggestion I reverted to 2.1.0 , and I'm using Windows Vista* I did try 2.1.1.0 and the VST effects were frequently breaking, [failing to render preview], on 2.1.1.0 too Before we can put this ("preview effect too strong") onto bugzilla, we need to know if the problem still occu...

Re: Recording Vocals with Audacity (Kind of need help?)

As Koz wrote, the recording environment is really important. In particular, if there is excessive reverberation (room echoes) or background noise, then you will never get a really professional sounding recording. Also, the Audacity 1.3.x series is obsolete and no longer supported. The current versio...

Thanks for all the details Trebor.
I presume that this is with Audacity 2.1.1?
Which version of Windows are you using?

It seems that this issue only affects some users (myself included).
What operating system are you using?
How often does this happen?
Anything else that you can tell us about this that may help to pinpoint the bug?

Re: Help setting up multiple filter/eq with parametric setti

Am I correct in thinking the easiest method to complete this task is to set up multiple nyquist prompts (one for each filter) in a chain? The best way is probably to make a Nyquist plug-in that does what you want, and use that in the Chain. A bit of history: The Nyquist Prompt was originally design...

Re: error 2: No such file or directory

The name had / in it!! That will be it. For other readers, the "/" character is a special character that should not be used in file names because it is a file path separator (so "Hey Ya! - Radio Mix / Club Mix - OutKast" looks like a file called "Club Mix - OutKast" in...
