Re: Do we need the Mixer Board and Karaoke?
I'm not a user of either of these features - but five years on I'd back Bill's suggestion to remove the karaoke functionality. The karaoke feature certainly does not seem to be widely used, but there could be hundreds / thousands of people using it that we don't know about, and suddenly removing it...

Re: Effects greyed out Fixed!
You don't need to press the Stop button immediately after importing a file or opening a project.
You do need to press the Stop button if Audacity is playing, recording or paused.

Re: Problem with frequent crashing
The usual cause of frequent crashes on Linux is due to a problem between Portaudio in Audacity and PulseAudio (the default sound system for most Linux distributions. The easiest way round the problem is to tell Audacity to use your sound card directly through ALSA and not use Pulse. To do that, sele...

Re: One More Question about Selecting
BTW- I prefer "audio file" as opposed to “waveform”. I did scientific research for 20 years, and the only time a file was referred to as a “waveform" was from an oscilloscope. Audacity does not work directly on "files". Audio data is "imported" into the "Auda...

Re: Increasing Bass - Audacity 2.0.2 Windows XP Pro
In my version under Effect I just have Bass Boost - nothing for Treble. You are using an obsolete version of Audacity. The current version is Audacity 2.1.1 and is available here: http://web.audacityteam.org/download/windows See here for system requirements: http://web.audacityteam.org/download/win...

Re: Removing plugins
If you are using the current Audacity 2.1.1, use "Manage" to disable the effects that you don't want.

Re: Trying to playback 32 channels to ASIO device
Audacity currently only supports mono/stereo playback.
Multi-channel playback is one of the highest rated feature requests, but currently we don't have a developer to work on it.
I've added your vote for this feature.

Re: Waveform antialiasing
The original feature request here was: Subject: Waveform antialiasing please add the option to draw waveforms with antialiasing. 4 pages on I understand that h-h did not actually mean "anti aliasing" (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aliasing). I shall therefore close this topic as h-h agrees...
