Re: Lock tool bar arrangement
Our minimum is 1024*768 now. Our "design minimum" is 1024 x 768, but the main window may be resized smaller than that. It becomes awkward, but remains (mostly) usable down to an extremely small window size. Some DAW applications (example Ardour 3) cannot be resized to less than 1024 x 768...

Re: Lock tool bar arrangement
Some DAWs have specific docking positions, so the choice is "docked, floating or hidden" (no choice about "where" it is docked).
though the minimum window size may be 1024x768 (or more).cyrano wrote:All DAW's can be operated on a smaller screen.

New version of "Crossfade Tracks"
The attached file is a new version of Crossfade Tracks (this demo is for mono tracks only). Posted here for people to test and comment before updating the shipped version. I have temporarily named it "Crossfade Tracks2..." so that it may be installed alongside the currently shipped version...

Re: Audacity Not Recording
I cannot record from saved audio files or audio from websites Why would you need to "record" a saved audio file? Use "File menu > Import > Audio". To record audio that is playing on your computer, use the "WASAPI loopback" method described here: http://manual.audacityt...

Re: Compressor in v2.1.1 throws error when run as Chain scri
No, that will not happen if the RMS evaluation window is equal to the Attack Time but that is not how this compressor works. If you wish to redesign the compressor then patches for the code are welcome on the developer's mailing list (http://web.audacityteam.org/contact/lists) I believe that the RM...

Re: Lock tool bar arrangement
So basically the containers are subdivisons of the upper tooldock area, but each container could also be undocked? That's how I imagine it. I dislike the "jumping around" when expanding the windows but see the need for it when reducing. I agree, but imo for "lock" to apply only ...

Re: Compressor needs better parameter options
What is one example of how an attack time of 100 ms or greater could be used? I'm having trouble thinking of one. Let's say that you have a recording that has a very large dynamic range, perhaps classical music or jazz, and you want to listen to it in a non-ideal environment, such as a car. Chances...
