I may have been a bit excessive with "1 beat per minute". Perhaps better to change that back to 30 bpm as the minimum (one beat every 2 seconds).

Yes, I think I like this. Feel free to give it a whirl and comment. I've added an updated version HERE (direct link).

Re: Starts making a loud inteference sound towards the end

Zooming in (http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/zooming.html) both horizontally and vertically, we can see the problem, and it is not "drop-outs". firsttrack003.png Each of those vertical spikes is a "click", and that is what is making the noise. It looks strange - like bad inte...

Re: Transport Control Buttons

OK I attach a screenshot. You can also see that the "record" button is affected as well. It has the "skip to end" icon superimposed on it. If I hover the mouse pointer over the "record" button, the problem disappears (the button looks normal again). This is weird. All ...

Re: New version of "Crossfade Tracks"

This could be implemented without reinstating the "two track only" rule. Any better ideas?

Re: New version of "Crossfade Tracks"

Certainly it must be documented as a limitation, if there are no "fixes"... There is a possible "fix", but I'm not sure how best to implement it. I'm inviting suggestions... IF the "two track only" limitation is reinstated, then we could have a control: Track to fade o...

Re: Eliminating clicks and pops in one channel

What sort of recording? Does it need to be stereo? If not, "Split track to mono" and discard the bad channel. A mono track plays through both left and right, so no need to duplicate a mono track.

Re: Slim down the Click Track interface

Does one of those work out to be "3/4 time," or is that the beats per measure thing? Yes, that's the "beats per measure" thing. I prefer the term "beats per bar", but "Click Track" has happily called it "beats per measure" for about a decade with no...

It would be worth trying it. Nothing to loose. You may have more luck with Calf plug-ins than me. If not, you can uninstall them.
