I did, but your reply made me think, why not set the sample rate for exporting in the export dialog rather than always using the project rate?Gale Andrews wrote:I thought you proposed a sample rate control only for WAV 16-bit PCM.

Why not?Gale Andrews wrote:If we were to have an export sample rate control I would expect it to apply to all formats.

Re: Increase sound volume
Topic moved to Windows forum. since I sometimes have many of these to do, is there a way to do this via code, script file, program or whatever, so as to be able to do many at once. Let's see if "Amplify" does what you want. If it does, then yes it's possible to "batch process", b...

Re: Increase sound volume
The "Amplify" effect with default settings will increase the level as much as possible without "clipping" (distorting) the sound. If you need more amplification than that it is necessary to "compress the dynamics", either using a "compressor" effect or a "...

Re: Extra audio out for VIDEO sync with xjadeo
I expect that multi-channel playback is also a long way off, but be that as it may, for the purpose of logging your feature request, I'm unsure what is the end and what are the means. Is your proposal for an extra playback channel for the purpose of synchronised video playback (the extra playback ch...

Re: Extra audio out for VIDEO sync with xjadeo
It has been suggested by at least one of the lead developers of Audacity, that could change in the future. It probably won't change soon because it is a large undertaking, but I see many benefit to doing so.Adaerus wrote:When Audacity stops it releases the audio outputs.

Re: Extra audio out for VIDEO sync with xjadeo
Just looking at this from another direction: We have had other requests for displaying video in Audacity. xjadeo is open source software with the same (GPL v2) license as Audacity. Audacity has the ability to support "modules", so it 'might' be possible for xjadeo to be built into a module...

Re: Extra audio out for VIDEO sync with xjadeo
Implementing support in Auacity for an extra audio output would be the easiest to achieve SMPTE sync features. If you use Jack Transport (not currently supported by Audacity), then an extra audio output is not required. Jack Transport can handle it automagically. Using Ardour, xjadeo and "Qjac...

Re: Yamaha MX61 Synthasizer
I am considering buying a Yamaha MX61 Synthasizer This is quite unusual. We generally warn people that keyboards only do MIDI and not audio over USB unless they explicitly say that they do audio over USB. In the case of the MX61, it does explicitly say that: http://uk.yamaha.com/en/products/musical...
