Re: Audacity won't open Project file

Hi, I'm having exactly the same problem, what should I do now? Thanks a lot! For future reference, please start a new topic rather than adding on to an existing topic. Although people frequently say "I'm having exactly the same problem", in most cases the problem is not the exactly the sa...

Re: hearing other tracks when recordin multitrack

Re: hearing other tracks when recordin multitrack

Re: Increase sound volume

I ran as described by Steve, the default in the amp window was 2.8 with the , with the "new peak amp" at 0. The allow clipping box was unchecked, I hit OK The waveform did become taller, but when I play it doesn't seem a whole lot louder, not noticeably. That means that the "peak amp...

To record sounds playing on your computer, see here: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/tu ... ndows.html
On Windows Vista or later, the WASAPI method generally works best.

Re: Can MIDI be made less percussive?

Duplicate topic merged with this one. To avoid the confusion of parallel discussions, please only post your question once. Regarding the original question, this is not really the right forum. Audacity has very little MIDI capability. Some synthesizers and samplers have controls to change the attack ...

Re: How timeshift 1 trk of a 2trk recording with offset head

Is there a way I can just enter this shift amount for all the other tapes I have to correct? Assuming that they all need a time-shift of 1.535 seconds: * Split the stereo track * Click on the track that needs to be moved to the right (later). * Press the "Home" key (or click the rewind bu...

Re: How to match bit rate of original file for game?

It took me a lot of negotiating with Leland to get the 32-bit float WAV included in the top-level menu - and I would be extremely loath to lose it from there :( I appreciate your point waxcylinder, but I don't think that we have 32-bit float WAV, and u-law WAV, and A-law WAV, and 24-bit WAV (the de...

Re: Adobe Audition Broadcast Limiter

The current version of Audacity (2.1.1) includes a limiter. It is somewhat simpler (and easier to use) than the one in Adobe Audition.
