Re: ffmpeg: locating libavformat.v
I've had a similar problem recently (on Linux, but the same principles still apply). The version of FFmpeg must match the requirements of the Audacity version. If the versions don't match, then it won't work whatever you do. I'd suggest that you start over: 1) Remove Audacity and FFmpeg. 2) Delete t...

Re: Yamaha MX61 Synthasizer
So then I went into the sound card on the PC, see pic 2 & made some adjustments, which improved things no end. Pic 3 is the Mixpad track imported into Audacity. Then I had a quick look at the Audacity recording device box & saw the MX61 was showing as an option, clicked on that played the M...

Re: Error recording streaming audio at in win 10
Have you tried recording the streaming audio in 16-bit? (the streaming audio is probably 16-bit).

Re: trying to dowload libraries
Don't buy Audacity. Audacity is free software.
You don't need to download or compile libraries to use Audacity. Just download the DMG file and follow the installation instructions: http://web.audacityteam.org/download/mac

Re: Trouble importing audio from server
Go to: "Edit menu > Preferences > Import/Export" and check that the first option, "make a copy of uncompressed audio files before editing (safer)", is selected, and in "Edit > Preferences > Warnings", un-tick the final option "importing uncompressed audio files&quo...

Re: Mp3 file duration and conversion to wav
I'm not sure exactly how you are making these files, but certainly that first file was malformed. There are several forums specifically for ffmpeg, and they are probably better able to help than we are.

Wouldn't it be nice if someone could make this into an Audacity module: http://plugin.org.uk/meterbridge/waxcylinder wrote: I'd love to have some quaint old meters like I used to have on my older tape decks with the light-up back and the swinging needle

Re: Compiling Audacity code from GitHub
Sorry I can't help much with this as I'm on Linux, but just to say that GitHub is the official repository and all official Audacity releases come from the code in GitHub. The current ZIP download from GitHub "should" work correctly - there's still a few bugs to be fixed before the next rel...

Re: Problem importing key bindings to 2.1.0 or 2.1.1
Low visibility of recent peak in the gradient meters is another reason I personally prefer the RMS meters. No problem here, but glad we have a choice so we can keep everyone happy ;) I think it would be good to see more metering options in the future - there are still those that want "true pea...
