When you Export your finished project to make an audio file (WAV, MP3 or whatever), the clips are automatically merged into a single file.

1) The duration will not be correct in Audacity 2.1.0 because that version does not support the ";type generate" instruction. You need Audacity 2.1.1 for it to work correctly. Regardless of that, I am not able to reproduce that error using Audacity 2.1.0, so I don't know what the problem i...

Yes, shots in the dark because what you are reporting does not make sense. If the waveform is made significantly bigger vertically, then it is louder. So what's happening on your system to defeat basic physics?
