Re: Pause Click Freeze
Unfortunately Ubuntu built Audacity with the wrong version of WxWidgets, which causes a number of bugs. The current 2.1.1 version of Audacity is available (built with the correct version of WxWidgets) from this PPA: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntuhandbook1/+archive/ubuntu/audacity See the instructions...

Re: Setting up Audacity to use with a Micport Pro
Audacity always records "uncompressed". To create an uncompressed file after you have recorded in Audacity, "Export" as "WAV" (the default option). The default sample rate for Audacity is 44100 Hz. If you need to reset Audacity back to the default settings, run the Auda...

Re: ReplayGain
If you're on Linux, why not use one of the native Linux apps for ReplayGain?darkcity wrote: Looks like I'm going to have to use Foobar2 on WINE.

Re: Cannot close gap at cut point between clips; makes pop n
If you apply a short crossfade, that should eliminate the pop. See: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/cr ... clips.html (in particular, the final example on that page).Genepoz wrote:However, I'm hoping there will be a way to eliminated the noise completely at some point in another version.

Re: Editing bar by bar
The initial requests were all of the form "I want automatic beat detection" and in some of the requests (as an aside) "The Timeline could then show the detected beats" or "(sigh) if you really can't implement auto beat detection then just showing beats/bars would be better ...

Perhaps that's "normal for Windows" (I don't use Windows), but it looks wrong to me.CinemaNoir wrote:This is the Audio Device info:

Re: Audacity moves the audio track after finishing recording
I see. Is there any way to find the perfect latency correction time, or will I have to do it by ear? There's instructions in the manual: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/latency_test.html Note that for some systems the latency may vary a little each time you record, but if you can get it to wit...

Re: Audacity moves the audio track after finishing recording
Note that if you turn off overdub, you will not be able to hear what is recorded in other tracks while you are recording a new track (OK if that is what you want).

Re: Audacity moves the audio track after finishing recording
What exactly happens is that every time I record something and press "stop", the recording start jumps a bit back - around 0.2 seconds. Why is it like that? Reinstalling will not help. The "jump backward" is deliberate. The reason for it is that if you record one track, then pla...
